Não é que eu fosse especialmente apreciador da música dele, mas... enfim...
"Rock Me Amadeus" faz parte do imaginário da malta...

"Amadeus was the worst thing that could've happened to me"
ResponderEliminarRE : What can we expect of you in '91?
Falco : On 15 July, a worldwide release- a remixed album of my greatest hits, entitled "FALCO- New sounds on solid ground" or "FALCO Updated".
The singles have been remixed by star names : Amadeus and Kommissar by Shep Pettibone; Jeanny Part 1 by William Orbit; these are both Madonna's producers; Vienna Calling by The Bingo Boys and Junge Roemer by Black Box.
RE: When should the next new album be released ?
F: Spring '92. My new producer is Peter Wolf. (Wolf is an exiled Austrian who has produced hits in the USA such as We Built This House and has had many other No.1 hits).
I will be spending four months in L.A. with him working on this album.
The music will be very groovy- dance music, black music, and the lyrics will be on the eternal theme of man and woman.
RE: With Amadeus you were No.1 in the states. By comparison the last album Data De Groove was a flop. What motivates you to try again?
F:Amadeus was the worst thing that could've happened to me.
I would rather have had three No.10 hits and then one No. 3 in the US charts; instead out of nowhere, a No. 1.
Since Wiener Blut making music was no longer fun for me.
The motivation left me completely.
I believe that people grew tired of my inpudence and cockiness.
DATA was an introverted and personal album.
People do not want to attend my semester at university until they understand.
I won't produce lyrics such as "The mega the score desto mono de chrome" again.
I want to do better.
I feel stronger than I have done for five years.
At that time I was messed up but today I'm working on my career as never before.
RE: At one time you had a problem with alcohol. How is it now?
F:If I explain that I've joined the Salvation Army, I won't be believed.
No more continuous drinking as before; now and again I can do that, I'm no saint.
RE: Your last girlfriend, Silvia, previously worked as a nightclub hostess or even as a prostitute. Were you hurt by the publicity?
F: In the year of Pretty Woman, I had to an imitation! No, the stories about Silvia definately did not hurt me.
On the contrary, she moved everything into the right light again, even if the Red light.
Only the arguments with her were paralysing.
In November the affair was dying, by Christmas it was war.
RE: Two months later the relationship ended. Did the publicity affect your decision?
F: Definately not.
The relationship was already cooling by the time the reports appeared in the magazines.
But she was troublesome.
I couldn't stand it anymore.
RE: Your relationships with women are always quite short.
F: I haven't yet found the one with whom I can stay with for longer than a year.
RE: Are you living alone at present?
F: Yes, without a special lady by my side.
I'm best alone, so the situation is unlikely to change in the near future.
RE: Are you afraid that women love you only for your money or your celebrity status?
F: Of course I worry about women!
But sooner or later you must disregard this and not torment yourself any more with the question- Why am I loved?
RE: Are you generous?
F: Certainly.
To the point of foolishness.
Like everyone with 24 million dollars.
I've spent my money to extremes.
Anyway I've done enough reasonable things, I've also done unreasonable things; millionsworth of jewelry for girls, travel.etc.
Then I had enough of that; today my feet are back on the ground.
I drive a black Audi 200 Quattro and live in an unexceptional apartment without nouveau-riche furnishings.
RE: How long have you lived here?
F: For 10 years- it's 150 square metres, contemporary with classical things such as a Biedmeier writing desk.
I'm an absolute TV Freak; I have three TV sets plus satellite.
I always watch TV, even during intimate moments....
RE: Describe an ordinary day in your life.
F:I get up around midday, play sport, three times a week I run my 12 Kilometres in Prater and then afterwards go to the sauna.
From 18.00 I work.
RE: You've been working on a TV series.
F: I've written the script for it.
The pilot film should go out this year and next year there will be six episodes of 45 minutes each.
It will be called "Wie welt weg?" - a travel/adventure series about Austrians abroad, their successes and the ordinary things they have done.
In the programmes I'm talking to these people.
RE: Many people can appear arrogant on the outside whereas they are really insecure and full of worries. Does this describe you?
F: Certainly.
Only I ask myself this : How far have you come in the business over the last 10 years?
You shouldn't be afraid of anything.
RE: Are you afraid of dying?
F: Of course.
RE: Nevertheless, you previously took drugs...
F: I played with poison for quite a while.
In retrospect that was unnecessary, it changed nothing.
Today it doesn't interest me anymore.
Other than that, I'm not a racing driver nor do I go parachuting...
