Vi hoje uma notícia que a Ataque Sonoro, tem disponível em vinil o disco "Punk Invasion" da banda Total Chaos.

Digo-vos já que esta é uma das minhas bandas preferidas e estou sempre atento ao que vão lançando.

Aproveito para fazer aqui um pequeno historial da banda americana que mais me cativou nos últimos anos...

Os ritmos e a energia da banda cativou-me logo aos primeiros acordes...

A versão "Born to lose" consegue agarrar qualquer adepto do Punk mais clássico, num piscar de olhos.

Desde o tema "Riot 77" até "Be want you want" e passando por "Voice of the streets", o ritmo não pára!!!

A voz agrada-me imensamente, as guitarras rasgam sem perdão e a bateria "martela" a marcação, ao melhor nível do que se fez a nível de Punk, do outro lado do Atlântico.

Para mim é um disco indespensável para qualquer Punk...

Just like their heroes the Exploited, LA's Total Chaos was on a streak of releasing interchangeable record after interchangeable record.

Perhaps it was the move from Epitaph to Cleopatra, but something lit a fire under Total Chaos's asses, and In God We Kill (the band's fourth) is living proof.

Sure, no one's ever going to hand the band an award for originality, but credit should be given to a record that seamlessly integrates the band's characteristically derivative early 80's Brit-core with plenty of uber -catchy street-punk/Oi! (e.g., "Let It Roll" and the endearing "Running With the Youth") and a bit o' thug-mosh -- and there's even a murky electronica-esque track ("Immaculate").

But if you're still looking for irony, Total Chaos do cover the Exploited's "I Believe in Anarchy."

The lyrics are outright amazing (which is something I always thought since I first got this CD).

These are some of the most rebellious, cynical and well punk, political lyrics around!

It's all here folks.


Extreme Anti-government, extreme anti-war, extreme anti-capitalism, anti-religion, anti-racism, anti-society, anti-nationalism and anti-everything that punk is against; then on the flip side, pro-revolution, pro-anarchy and pro-peace.
