UK Subs
http://www.uksubs.com/
The U.K. Subs were part of the original punk movement in England that formed in 1976, with the initial name of the Subversives. The band's founder, Charlie Harper selected guitarist Nicky Garratt, bassist Paul Slack, and various drummers (eventually Pete Davis became fairly stable) under the initial name "U.K. Subversives".[1] The London based band's early line-up changed frequently.
Their style combined the energy of punk and the rock and roll edge of the then thriving pub rock scene. The band had some hit singles such as "Stranglehold", "Warhead", "Teenage", and "Tomorrow's Girls", with several of their songs managing to enter the United Kingdom's Top Forty.
The band played several John Peel sessions in 1977 and 1978 for BBC Radio 1, and then signed a recording contract with GEM Records. Under GEM, the U.K. Subs recorded an album in 1979 called Another Kind of Blues. The group also played a few opening gigs for The Police, as well as recording a set at The Roxy (a punk club), which was issued in 1980 as Live Kicks. Their biggest selling album came with 1980s Crash Course.
With the arrival of new bassist Alvin Gibbs and drummer Steve Roberts in the early 1980s, the songs took on a more heavy metal-influenced edge. In 1991, the U.K. Subs also had Lars Frederiksen (now of Rancid) on guitar for a 30 date UK tour.
Decades after the disbanding of other late-1970s punk groups such as the Sex Pistols and The Clash, the U.K. Subs continue to perform.

Insane Society

Insane Society is a band that has been around for some time in a variety of forms. The present line-up has been playing and recording together since 2006 Original members, Sheldon (mouth) and Wag (guitar), had some demos and casually bumped into Steve Dangerous in a pub. (He was bigger than us and we couldn't get out of his way quick enough). He agreed to help out on drums. We soon imported Stefan Minszko (via Poland, Wales and Tunbridge Wells) on bass and Insane Society was re-born. As we all had previous experience in Punk bands since 1977 it was quite easy to get a set of songs that reflected our musical influences. Within a couple of months we had written 20 tunes, 15 of which eventually appeared on our debut CD entitled "Upside Down" which was released in August 2007 The music recaptures the spirit of the early punk years in a collection of original songs inspired by the things that concern, annoy and amuse us in an insane society. The songs are essentially about life for ordinary blokes in England today and the issues and events which impact on our lives from the immediate (Evicted, Fat Chick, Upside Down) to the global (Made In China, Send In The Troops, Termination Day) After gigging up and down the country (including Wales!) we have built up a growing fanbase, particularly on the south coast. We believe that REAL punk is just as relevant today as it was in 1977

Dun 2 Def formed in 1996. After being known as "77" changed the name to Dun2def in 2001. There has been a few line up changes but that has never slowed 'em down! Dun2Def is now more rampant than ever before and ready to tear up 2009!!!

"This the real deal, proper punk rock’n’roll! These four boys combine elements of early punk rock with the sound and attitude of the most obnoxious of garage punk bands. The songs are fast, loud, nasty, snotty, catchy and sweaty simple chord tight style tunes that will stick to your head like cheap superglue!"

Mispelt: 2.0

"A real class band here and one which has graced the SAS Tour and hopefully will do so on many more occasions. The argument I promote about people listening to the same old shit is refuelled here as with bands like this around there is no reason to be stuck in the past. Over and over again as a reviewer I am uncovering proper punk rock played with passion and convincing expertise and here we have one of the best examples of this."
