Billy Idol confirmado no Marés Vivas 2012 (Gaia)
Está confirmado o regresso de Billy Idol ao nosso país.
Depois de ter estado em Setembro de 1993 no antigo estádio de Alvalade (Lisboa), o vocalista inglês vai participar na 10ª edição do Festival Marés Vivas que se realiza em Gaia.
Actualmente conta com 56 anos, desde muito cedo foi um apaixonado pela música, apesar de ser considerado um miúdo irrequieto (a alcunha ´Idle` foi lhe atribuída devido a esse comportamento).
Em 1976, pertenceu aos ´Bromley Contingent` (os fiéis seguidores dos Sex Pistols nos concertos ao vivo), esteve para pertencer aos Banshees (fase muito inicial de Siouxsie & The Banshees), mas acabou por fazer parte dos frenéticos Chelsea.
Pouco depois, ainda em 1976 formou com Tony James os Generation X que lançaram três álbuns, para em 1981 dar início à sua carreira a solo (lançou o seu primeiro disco, homónimo um ano depois).
Com sete álbuns, uma quantidade infindável de singles e colectâneas, os seus temas são reconhecidos em qualquer parte do mundo.
A actuação de Idol realiza-se no dia 20 de Julho (o festival deste ano decorre dos dias 18 a 21).
